Antique Victorian 14K ring with a magnificent pear cut Neon Green spinel* in a dramatic curved bottom enclosed platform 50-prong setting. While the spinel has a loupe-clean interior, there are a few chips on some of the exterior facet corners and at the apex which in turn can only be seen with a high power loupe and are not noticeable to a casual naked eye observer. Shank is stamped "14K". Approx. size 6.5 and can be sized as the shank is of adequate thickness (~3-4mm). The spinel is ~ 60 ct based on the following hand measurements of ~ 27 mm L x 20 mm L x ~ 15 mm depth. TW of ring is ~ 12.1 grams, ~7.12 grams of which is the 14K gold. A quality and rare color stone in an antique setting designed to show it off in the most aesthetic manner possible. It possesses a subtle yet eye-catching presence.
