Antique sterling silver enameled Edwardian Art Deco Manganga Bumblebee pin brooch from Nahuel Huapi, a National Park Lake in Antu, Patagonia, Argentina. The non-US hallmark is very small so it has not been positively identified but presumably would be Argentinian, however the brooch could have been made in another country and imported. Top bar which bears the C clasp pin has a heart, an oil lamp and a cornucopia, which are usually signs or symbols of Masonic organizations or "secret societies". The Manganga Bumble bee is presently threatened by parasites brought in by imported and thus invasive European Bumblebee species. The back is stamped with "Nahuel Huapi, Antu". May have scuffs, scratches, patina, dings, bends or other types of wear from previous use, age and/or storage. The bee body was once entirely amber but 98% of the amber has now flaked away from age.
